Michael Milani, CEO of Mondeum Capital, recently sat down for a video interview with Andrew Aziz, owner of Bear Bull Traders, to discuss the recent debut of Mondeum Pro and what makes the offering a compelling choice for experienced traders. Bear Bull Traders is a global community of serious traders with a shared interest in trading the U.S. stock market.

As a former member of the active trading community before becoming CEO of Mondeum Capital, Michael applies his understanding of the self-directed trading landscape to bridge the client service gap and address common trader pain points.
- Mondeum’s progressive pricing model and routing flexibility:
“We wanted to make sure that our pricing was simple, easy to understand. No tiers. No nonsense. Five mils [per share]…Our pricing model produces less profit but offers a much more compelling service. That’s something we’re willing to accept, as we hope to bring in enough traders to offset this.”
Mondeum, Michael explains, is not a commission-free broker. However, with a flat-rate cost of $0.0005 (5 mils) per share, regardless of trade volume, its pricing model is competitive. Additionally, the platform empowers traders with fast execution and the option of routing to both dark1 and lit2 venues. Traders can even earn back a rebate when routing to payment-for-order-flow (PFOF) venues.
- What’s next for Mondeum:
“Our whole infrastructure and technology – which is a combination of proprietary tech and third-party tech – is built for us to be able to add a lot of platforms onto the system.”
Michael discusses how Mondeum’s hub-and-spoke model enables the firm to iterate and expand its offerings with ease. As of this writing, Mondeum Pro offers traders the choice between the Sterling Trader Pro and DAS Trader Pro platforms. These platforms, both advanced and widely used by the active trading community, deliver a highly configurable trading experience. Looking ahead, the company plans to leverage industry relationships to forge additional partnerships and support additional platforms.
